No, The CEU Academy is an approved CE Provider for Georgia State Board not for CE Broker. To renew or reinstatement your Georgia Professional License, you must purchase CE courses from an approved CE Provider for Georgia State Board and then self-report your hours to CE Broker.
3. Are your courses approved by the Georgia State Board?
Yes. The CEU Academy is an approved Continuing Education Provider for the Georgia State Board of Cosmetology and Barbers. All of the courses listed on our website are APPROVED by Georgia State Board of Cosmetology and Barbers.

5. Who can take your courses?
Our courses are designed for Georgia licensed cosmetologists, barbers, estheticians, nail technicians, instructors, and other beauty professionals who are required to complete continuing education.

8. Is there a test or exam required?

9. How long do I have access to my course?
Once purchased, your course material will be emailed to you. We recommend that you download and save the PDF file for your records so you can self-report your hours to CE Broker.

14. How long will it take me to complete the course?
Once you download the course material, you may read and complete the course at your own pace.
15. How & When will I receive my Certificate of Completion?
Once your CE course purchase is complete, you will receive a link to download your course material. You will also receive an order confirmation email that includes a private link to complete and submit your Submission Form.
After your Submission Form is received, your Certificate of Completion will be emailed to your provided email address.
Once you receive your certificate, you will be provided with a private link to a step-by-step guide to help you self-report your CE hours to CE Broker.
16. Do I need to complete a submission form with every order?
Yes. A submission form must be completed with every order in order to receive a Certificate of Completion.
17. What if I misplace my Certificate of Completion—can I order an additional copy?
Yes. We can generate another copy of your Certificate of Completion and email it to you for a fee of $10.
18. Who is CE BROKER?
CE Broker is the official continuing education tracking system used by the Georgia Secretary of State for professional license renewal.
19. Do I need a CE Broker account?
Yes. Licensees are required to create a CE Broker account and upload proof of completed continuing education to renew their license.
20. Does The CEU Academy submit my CE hours to CE Broker?
No. Licensees are responsible for uploading their own Certificates of Completion to CE Broker.
21. What do I upload to CE Broker?
You will upload the Certificate of Completion emailed to you after completing your CE course.

23. How do I renew my license once I receive my Certificate of Completion?
You must submit proof of all continuing education within your CE Broker account to renew your professional license with the Georgia Secretary of State’s Professional Licensing Board.

25. Do you report my CE hours to the Georgia Board of Cosmetology?
No. Once you receive your Certificate of Completion, you self-report your CE credit hours to CE Broker and CE Broker report your hours to Georgia State of Board.
26. Do I need to provide my Certificate of Completion to the Georgia Board when I renew my license?
No, CE Broker automatically transfer your CE credit hours to The Georgia Board of Cosmetology and Barbers once you self-report your CE credit hours on CE Broker website.
27. If I do not have access to a computer or printer, can course materials be mailed to me?
Yes. Printed course materials may be mailed to your physical address for an additional printing, preparation, and mailing fee.
28. When does my license expire?
Cosmetology and barber licenses expire every two (2) years. Expiration dates vary by license type:
Late renewal periods typically begin the month following expiration.
29. How many hours do I need to renew my professional license?
30. My license has lapsed—can I take the same course more than once?
Yes. If your license has lapsed and you need multiple hours, the Georgia State Board allows the same course to be taken multiple times, provided it is not completed on the same day.
31. What happens if I do not renew my license?
If a license is not renewed, it enters a late renewal period for thirty (30) days. Practicing with an expired license is a violation of the law and may result in fines, disciplinary action, or criminal penalties. Licenses not renewed within the late period will require reinstatement.
